We currently hold two services, socially distanced, at 9:30am and 11am. The 11am service is streamed via Zoom and then uploaded to our YouTube Channel so if you can't attend in person you can still join us in worship. You can find us on YouTube by clicking here: Andover Methodist YouTube Channel.

Two services, one church.

Whilst we offer two services in two different styles, the sermon is the same and the theme of the service is the same so we journey together as one congregation.

9:30am - this is a more informal and contemporary service. This service uses primarily more contemporary worship songs, with space for music and video to lead us in reflection.

11am - this is a more traditional service with the organ. You will find a mixture of much-loved hymns and newer ones. There will be a traditional format of Bible readings and prayers between the hymns.

When you arrive for a service there are a few things to bear in mind that will be different from a service in more normal times:

Face coverings are compulsory whilst in the building.

Only those who are leading or preaching will be permitted to take their masks off during the service but will be required, like everyone else, to wear a face-covering when not leading or preaching.

One way system.

There is a one-way system around the building, clearly marked out with floor stickers. Stewards and volunteers will be around to help show you around to your seat. Once in your seat, you are encouraged to remain there for the whole of the service.

Service Times.

We will be holding two services at 9:30 am and 11 am. We can have a maximum of 45 people in the building with social distancing measures. Services will be a maximum of 50 mins long and for the time being there will be no singing. If you could let us know which service you would like to attend, that would be most helpful. You can do that here.

Children's groups.

Whilst we get used to operating within our new COVID-19 guidelines we won't be offering specific Children's and Youth provision. However, parents are welcome to bring toys and crafts along.

Contact tracing.

As per government guidelines, we will require contact details from you as you arrive at the building. If you are in the directory we simply need your name, if not then we need your name and a way of contacting you in case someone presents themselves with COVID-19 symptoms. You can also sign in using the NHS Track and Trace App and scan the QR code at the entrance to the building.
